AUDIO CONNECTORS
The following are the most common connectors used for audio signals.
Phone - mono: used for unbalanced audio connections.
Phone - stereo: used for balanced audio as well as some AES/EBU digital audio connections.
Phone - RCA: used for unbalanced consumer audio connection as well as S/PDIF digital audio connections.
5-pin DIN: used for serial data transmission in a MIDI system.
XLR/Cannon: used for balance audio as well as AES/EBU digital audio connections.
BNC: used for S/PDIF digital audio connections
